On residential Chesham Place, The Hari feels less like a traditional five-star hotel and more like the rather fabulous Belgravia home of someone with excellent taste, an impressive art collection and a very well-stocked bar.
The hotel opened as The Hari in 2016, named by owner Dr. Aron Harilela in honour of his father, Dr. Hari Harilela. Designer Tara Bernerd gave it its distinctly residential clean luxury personality with dark woods, velvet, marble, books and contemporary art. The hotel's collection is particularly strong, and its annual Hari Art Prize supports emerging artists. It's sophisticated without being stuffy... and wonderfully discreet for somewhere only minutes from Knightsbridge.

The bathtub... obviously.
I'm a tub girl, and The Hari understands the assignment. My enormous bathtub sat beside the window, where I could soak while watching Belgravia wander past below. The clever bit? You can see them, but they can't see you. At least that's what I was told... and I'm choosing to believe it.
Even better, there was a stack of proper magazines on the coffee table. Not QR codes. Not something else to download onto my phone. Actual magazines. So naturally, they migrated to the bathroom and I spent a ridiculously long time in the tub reading them while keeping an eye on the neighbourhood.
Sometimes it's the smallest details that make you remember a hotel. Although in this case, it was a very large bathtub.

The Hari Suite. Set on the top floor, it has 70 square metres of space, a separate living room with fireplace and three balconies overlooking London. The black marble bathroom has both a rainforest shower and Jacuzzi.
The Studio King Suite is another favourite, particularly for fellow tub people... its bathtub sits in the bay window overlooking the rooftops.

Sloane Street, Harrods, Hyde Park, the V&A, Sloane Square, King's Road and Buckingham Palace.

24-hour room service, complimentary Wi-Fi, 24-hour concierge, valet parking and a 24-hour fitness centre. The hotel is pet friendly and has interconnecting rooms and family-friendly configurations. Rooms include Nespresso machines and Jo Loves bathroom products, and complimentary bicycles are available for exploring Belgravia.
Dining includes Italian restaurant il Pampero, The Hari Bar and the intimate Garden Terrace.
