Vancouver, Canada
Most people come to the DOUGLAS for its seamless blend of luxury and convenience, especially for events and business. I came to relax and recharge. They do both extraordinarily well. Part of the Autograph collection, under the Marriot umbrella, these hotels reflect a sense of place. The DOUGLAS feels oh so British Columbia with beautiful wood hallways, art scattered throughout and a laidback vibe. As part of the Parq Vancouver complex (an entertainment resort in the heart of the city), the hotel offers direct access to the casino, world-class dining, and an urban park. It’s also right beside BC stadium…If you’ve got the right room you can spy on concerts (or sports) from your window. Despite its modern vibe, the DOUGLAS exudes a timeless elegance. Opened in 2017, it feels fresh yet inviting. The rooms pay homage to BC’s rainforest & heritage in the chicest way with wooden headboards & comfy tartan throws. I loved Victor’s for dinner, the rooftop for views and the patio for cocktails, snacks and summer dj’s.
