Le Roch Hotel & Spa
Paris, France
Anything but cookie cutter, Le Roch Hotel & Spa oozes style and personality. The hotel, pronounced ‘le Rock’, is found on one of those perfect quite Parisian streets you’d live on in your dreams. Yet it is the shortest walk imaginable to party central. The interiors, done by hot young designer Sarah Lavoine, were her first foray into hotel design. She kills it. Think modern romantic apartment, not typical hotel space. Each room is different yet all share rich colors, high tech conveniences and environmentally friendly, fashionable Codage products. Room sizes run from cozy to the entire 6th floor Parisian Suite. My room, a cozy, was surprisingly spacious with a great bath. I was able to gaze out double windows and overlook Parisian rooftops while indulging in a tub full of bubbles. Absolute heaven. Le Roch is unconventional and seductive. The small sun deck is perfect for dining al fresco during the summer. In the winter it becomes a Slavic hut serving private dinners. I spent a particularly cold and rainy afternoon curled up on a comfy plush sofa in the bar sipping a cocktail and reading my book. The perfect spot to wait for better weather.
